It is October and there is much happening in the world of science. The Nobel Prize winners have been announced, the Science is Vital campaign is going strong (join the march if you are in London!), and there has been a fair amount of debate on Martin Robbins’ spoof of science journalism. These are issues of significance which have already been widely discussed on the blogosphere. They deserve even more attention, but the topic I bring to you this week is of a more ordinary nature: the common cold. It is that season, and there was an interesting piece written about it a few days ago on the NY Times. Look out for the next post!
